This winter Renata and I had a photoshoot in her backyard and the pictures turned out beautifully. It's so fun to do something you're passionate about with your best friend :) Check out some of her beautiful pictures below!

Putting up the last of my amazing Mexico trip pics! I wanted to share some of my dinner outfits with you all. I mostly stuck with dresses and some sort of cardigan for when it got chilly out. One night I was particularly cold due to sunburn (oops) so I went with jeans and a sweater. Boy, do I wish I could relive this vacation... Chicago is slowly but surely warming up, but I miss the ocean and sand!
My adorable red polka dot dress is from, you guessed it, Amazon! It's light and breezy, perfect for a hot summer night. It comes in green, blue and red and I think I'm going to order another color. I'm wearing a size small, I think it runs a bit big, I originally got a medium and had to return it because I swimming in it.
I absolutely LOVE this dress. I think it's so cute and fun for a night out or a beach vacay. It's elastic on top and nice and flowy on the bottom - from Amazon, wearing a size Medium for length. It could be dressed up or down and comes in white, red and khaki for $23! My shoes are Steve Madden, also off of Amazon, and I have them in so many colors and they're very comfy.
This was a warmer Mexico dinner outfit, but still has a beachy feel! My white jeggings are from American Eagle and they're under $50, a total steal! My sweater is also from American Eagle and very light, almost like a towel material, currently on sale for $30! Comes in red, too. There are matching shorts that I'm thinking about getting :)
This Madewell dress is so comfy and if you can't tell, I love the blue and white look for summer. I've shown my scrunchie before - it's from Amazon, 6 pack for $8!

My friend (and photographer for a lot of my posts!) Renata invited me to come see where she works at CarefulPeach Boutique, and we decided to do an impromptu photoshoot with some of their cashmere pieces! If you’ve never tried on cashmere, it’s luxuriously soft and tailored with great care. I had so much fun trying on their pieces, and experiencing their tactile and gorgeous French inspired shop. CarefulPeach Boutique is founded and owned by Karen Morava, a #ladyboss who started her company over a decade ago. I learned that she works with a lot of local charities, something that is near and dear to my heart.
I was so excited to not only model their beautiful sweaters, but to do it for an amazing cause. CarefulPeach Boutique is supporting families affected by domestic violence by partnering with Sarah’s Inn for the remainder of Women’s History Month! Their cashmere is already being discounted by 30%, but they’re knocking another 10% off their prices when customers bring in gently worn cashmere and/or business apparel. These items will be donated to Sarah’s Inn to help support families affected by domestic violence, and help those interviewing for jobs or returning to the workforce.
You know me, I’m always looking for great deals. While cashmere is something I wouldn’t normally gravitate to because of the pricetag, this sale is insane, and for the right reasons! They’re discounting their cashmere close to half off to help drive donations for survivors of domestic violence (an issue that disproportionally affects women, especially women of color).
Cardigan by Kinross Cashmere, Original Price: $336 Notebook I couldn't resist... $9.95
Discount with Donation: $201.60 Also up to 30% off: $6.97!
It’s inspiring to see a woman owned business supporting its community. Click here to learn more about Sarah’s Inn and how they are supporting families through holistic, legal, and education services. Even if you can’t buy, please consider donating your gently used business attire to CarefulPeach Boutique through the end of March!
Happy Women's History Month!
Warmer weather is on it's way and spring break is around the corner! I just wanted to show off a few more beach items from my Mexico trip. Everything is from Amazon (of course) and under $30!
These would all be perfect for spring break or summer 2019 - to say I'm excited for some sun and warm weather is an under statement. My purple swim suit was another great find from Amazon. It's $27 and I'm wearing a size medium. I love how the back has the multiple straps as well as the sides of the bottoms. I wore this one multiple times in Mexico because it was so comfy and flattering.
Now this black romper cover up from Amazon is so great because I've used it for the beach or every day activities back home. It's so versatile! It's $16, I'm wearing a size S and it comes in several other colors. If you decide to wear it off the beach - it looks great with a lace bralette underneath :)
You've seen this hat before - also from Amazon and says "Hello Sunshine" for $20. I even got it wet by accident in Mexico and it totally held up, which has not been the case with other hats I have like that one!
I love my black sunglasses from DIFF Eyewear! The large shape is so flattering and I've had them for over year - still looking brand new. I highly recommend.
Finally is this adorable pink cover up from Amazon! It comes in so many different colors for $18. The pom-poms are my favorite part.
I hope this post got you excited for summer!! Warm times lay ahead, thank goodness :)
I am LOVIN' the Cupshe bathing suits on Amazon lately. There are so many good options! I used to order from Cupshe themselves, but I quickly realized that their shipping was slow and their return policy was a lengthy procedure. They make some great bathing suits for a great price so I didn’t want to give up on the brand. I was so excited when I found them on Amazon! They have plenty of the Cupshe options on there for the same price and the shipping and return process is much easier and quicker. So, it’s a win-win!
I have outlines some of my favorite options below:
-The swimsuit in my insta: It's the perfect one piece! It has such a cute design and a fun open back. Also comes in white & grey.
- Fresh Leaves Bikini: I have this one too and it comes in a ton of colors!
-Rambling Rose High-Waisted Bikini: I love the detail on this swim suit and the adorable top.
-Floral Print Ruffled Bikini: I think the ruffles on this bathing suit are adorable and the flower print is perfect for a beach vacation!
-Forest One-Piece Deep V: I'm into the ruffles and cute deep V on this suit!
-Black One-Piece Cut Out: Love the scalloped top and cut out right underneath.
-Halter Bikini: More fun scallops, perfect top for playing some beach volleyball!
-High-Waisted Yellow & Leaves Print Bikini: I think this bikini is so fun with the solid block top and the print bottom.
My week spent in Mexico was absolute paradise. We stayed at the Grand Luxxe Residence at Vidanta in Nuevo Vallarta and it was everything I could’ve imagined and more. The grounds were stunning with so many pools and restaurants for you to pick from.
Our condo was in the Residence tower so the elevator opened directly into our place. It consisted of a huge family room with a kitchen, living room and dining room. There were four bedrooms and two balconies that spanned the entire width of the condo. I think the front balcony was my favorite part. It had a table, two sun bathing chairs, two couches with a smaller table and a dipping pool. I started and ending most of nights out on that balcony.
It was the perfect getaway from work and the Chicago winter. I spent my mornings on runs or walking the grounds looking at all the wildlife. Our building also provided fresh juice every morning, which was a hit! My favorites were kiwi and strawberry! You could really taste that fresh squeezed fruits and we always tried to guess what tomorrows flavor would be.
During the day, I read books and laid out in the sun or pool and at night we went to restaurants on and off the resort. They had a great pool that overlooked the ocean and plenty of swim up bars. Happy hour was from 11-3, so drinks were buy one get one which was fantastic!
My favorite pool was the one on top of the Grand Luxxe building. It had two hot tubs (they were not hot at all because why would anyone want to go in a hot tub when it feels like its 100 degrees out?) and one long pool with a restaurant in the back. There were so many great places to sit and relax include canopies and hammocks. They also had fresh made fruit popsicles that they passed out everyday; I tried the guava, strawberry and lime.
It was so relaxing and fun to just be with Trevor’s family hanging out and eating our way through the week :) I really did not want to leave on our last day. The sun was so warm and I got my very needed dose of Vitamin D. I can't wait to go back one day!

Blue Light glasses have completely changed my life since I got them. I probably spend 12 hours a day looking at a computer or the TV. I work 9+ hours a day and then get home to work on my online master’s program or my blog and when I have some free time, I’m watching Netflix on my computer or TV. This was absolutely ruining my eyes. They were getting tired, red and blurry by the end of the day and by Friday they were totally shot.
Trevor had been talking about how he wanted to get some Blue Light glasses for a while and so I decided to take the plunge and order some. They made SUCH a difference!! My eyes no longer burn at the end of the day, they aren’t tired at the end of the week and in my opinion, they look pretty darn cute on too…
I even bought some for Trevor for Valentine’s Day and he loves them as well. I can’t say enough great things about them. In today’s day in age, people are looking at technology all the time. You probably don’t even realize how often you’re looking at a screen. I wear these glasses all day at work, whenever I’m watching TV, or if I know I’ll be on my phone for an extended period of time. They have become a part of my daily routine and I highly recommend them. Protecting your eyes is so important and even if you wear prescription glasses you can get the Blue Light blocking lenses added to those as well!
I’ve linked mine and Trevor’s Blue Light Blocking glasses below as well as some other one’s I’ve found with great reviews:

I just got this adorable purple and white turtleneck from American Eagle! It's so soft and is 50% off making it $18 - such a steal! I've show these Amazon hair ties before, but they come in a 6 pack for $8 and I use them all the time. My leggings are from Lululemon and perfect for lounging. If you missed where my glasses are from above, they're DIFF.
Wishing everyone a day filled with love and happiness! Valentine's Day is not just meant for those in relationships, but for everyone to be surrounded with people they love and care about.

I have received a TON of questions on how I find my items on amazon and whether it is worth shopping on there. Well, I can tell you that I spend a lot of time browsing items and looking for good deals. I also spend a lot of time returning items that don’t fit, are bad quality or just look nothing like their picture online. It’s a total hit or miss game, but it’s super fun for me! It’s worth it when you have a good find that’s cheap and great quality. So, if you’re not into trying out new things and returning half of them, amazon shopping probably isn’t for you. However, lucky for you, I do a lot of the heavy lifting for you! :)
Anyways, I have been able to find some AMAZING knockoff designer finds on amazon. I’m talking $20-$30 David Yurman Bracelets that are originally $400. I have the real bracelets and I also bought some of the dupe ones and it’s very hard to tell the difference. So, if you’ve been dying for something designer, but don’t want to put down the money amazon has you covered! I’ve linked all my favorite finds below, shop away!!
I do want to make a quick note here - If you're following my blog I hope it's because you are here to support me! When I link Amazon finds that I love, I receive a small percentage if you buy them off of the website link I provide. However, I do not receive anything if you click on the link and buy it off the Amazon app. So please, please ensure you are purchasing on the website link I provide. Thank you!!! I appreciate it :)
I will continue to look for more dupe designer items that are worth the purchase!

Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away! So, I decided to do some research based on places I’ve been and good ol’ google to help put together a guide of romantic restaurants for you and your special someone to go to this Valentines day. Chicago is filled with so many great places I’ve outlines them by neighborhoods to make it easier! I am well aware that some people hate Valentine’s day so when I say romantic, I don’t mean some quiet dark place where only couples go, I mean somewhere you can have fun with whoever you are with and feel that love is in the air! I will put an * by the places I have been personally, as those are much more genuine recommendations on my part.
